Just over a year ago we announced that Centrica had transitioned to Microsoft Azure, a move at the heart of our digital transformation ambitions. Today marks the next step in this important journey as we integrate cutting-edge intelligence into the way we run our field operations to improve the service we deliver for our customers in their homes across the UK.
Working in partnership with Microsoft, over the next couple of years we will transform how we plan and dispatch work for our team of engineers across the country.
We will use the latest technology available to create a seamless service. Powered by artificial intelligence tech from the Microsoft Azure cloud platform, with Dynamics 365 at the core of the solution, and Microsoft 365 applications such as PowerBI, Logic App, Flow and PowerApps, the new platform will enable us to build a stronger picture of what our customers need and ensure they can be kept up to date with accurate and timely information.
We’re also creating a team of specialists from across our business, bringing them together at the start of the project so they can experience how the technology is built in real time.
Our partnership with Microsoft will help us to improve the service we deliver for our customers, by offering more flexibility and reliability for engineer appointments. This is at the heart of the Centrica purpose: to provide energy and services to satisfy the changing needs of our customers
