Ian Conn, Centrica Group CEO, welcomes proposals
Yesterday the government announced plans for a new industrial strategy for the UK. Under the proposals, the Government has been clear that it will be focusing on improving productivity and encouraging long-term investment in infrastructure across the country.
The paper talks about increasing affordability of energy for business, in particular linked to the innovation agenda around smart metering, as well as the need for upgrading the UK's energy networks.

As the energy sector continues to evolve, we look forward to working with the Government to ensure that new energy technology and high skilled jobs benefit people right across the UK.”
