Centrica plc today announced that its telecommunications arm, Onetel, has acquired REDNET Limited, an internet service provider (ISP) focused on the small and medium sized business sector, for £5 million in cash.
Whilst Onetel is well established in the voice market, REDNET adds capability in data services by offering end-to-end internet solutions through products and services such as web hosting, virtual private networks and web security. This will allow Onetel to compete for higher value business customers.
