Centrica plc has been appointed by OAO Gazprom as its agent for operating its Interconnector capacity.
In addition, OAO Gazprom, Centrica plc and Wingas GmbH have reached a tripartite agreement entitling each party to use this capacity.
The first trade under these agreements has been completed by the three parties. Gazprom UK Trading Ltd., a subsidiary of OAO Gazprom has traded gas with Accord Energy Ltd., the wholly owned subsidiary of Centrica PLC at Bacton utilising the Interconnector capacity.
