At Centrica, we’ve been continually strengthening how we support workplace health — moving beyond traditional benefits to provide cohesive wellbeing support that empowers colleagues.

People should never feel alone when facing a health challenge and access to the right healthcare at the right time can make a meaningful difference to someone’s wellbeing. Whether a colleague needs reassurance, expert guidance, or specialist treatment, the right help should be readily available, without barriers or delay.

A Healthcare Offering Built for Today’s Realities

Across the UK and Ireland, colleagues and their families have access to a comprehensive set of health and wellbeing benefits. The foundation of this is our company-funded healthcare plan, which gives every employee—regardless of role—the same level of coverage and access to care.

The plan works alongside NHS services while offering private treatment options where appropriate, ensuring colleagues can secure timely assessments and interventions.

Health Trends Shaping Support Priorities

Looking at the data from 2025, a clear picture emerges about the issues most affecting our workforce:

· Mental health challenges, particularly anxiety and depression

· Musculoskeletal problems, with lower back pain being especially prevalent

· Seasonal illnesses, including flu and respiratory infections

· Lifestyle-related risks - such as limited sleep, reduced physical activity and higher bodyweight—that contribute to delayed recovery or recurring problems

These patterns mirror national and global trends. They also reinforce the need for workplaces to think holistically about health - supporting prevention just as much as treatment.

Bringing Wellbeing Together Through MyHealth

To help colleagues return to full health, MyHealth, takes a holistic approach bringing everything together on a single platform designed to make wellbeing support simpler, more connected, and more relevant to everyday life. Rather than offering isolated services, MyHealth gives colleagues a joined-up experience spanning physical, mental and lifestyle health.

Through the platform, colleagues can access tools and services including:

· Musculoskeletal support and rehabilitation

· Mental health guidance and therapeutic pathways

· Resources to improve sleep quality

· Exercise and activity programmes

· Nutrition support and healthy-living advice

· A wide range of general health content and self-service guidance

By bringing everything together, MyHealth removes friction and helps colleagues make informed choices without having to search across multiple providers.

Round-the-Clock Support for Life’s Unpredictable Moments

Many health concerns don’t wait for office hours, which is why colleagues and their families can access 24/7 support whenever it’s needed.

The Virtual GP service offers swift access to clinical advice, helping people receive answers, reassurance, or referrals without long delays. For psychological support, MyCare - our dedicated helpline - connects individuals with trained professionals who can provide immediate guidance and help them navigate more complex emotional challenges.

We also recognise the important role that managers play in fostering wellbeing. To support them, a specialist advice line offers expert guidance so leaders can approach sensitive health conversations with confidence and clarity. Support like this alongside our inspiring Mental Health First Aiders and Wellbeing on Wheels initiative amongst others, led to over 100,000 mental health and wellbeing interactions during the year as we strive to ensure colleagues receive the right support at the right time. The difference this makes is invaluable - for example, 62% of colleagues who experienced a sickness absence but accessed help via myHealth, were able to return to work earlier than medical condition averages and get back on track with their lives.

Creating the Conditions for People to Thrive

Our ambition goes beyond simply providing benefits. We want to shape a culture where health is openly discussed, proactively supported, and seen as a shared responsibility. A workplace that genuinely values wellbeing doesn’t just respond to illness - it builds the conditions that help people stay healthy, feel supported, and perform at their best.

As the nature of work evolves, so too will the needs of our colleagues. That’s why we’re committed to continuously developing our healthcare offering, guided by evidence, lived experience, and an unwavering belief that people do their best work when they feel physically and mentally strong.
