In 2014 Centrica set up Ignite Social Enterprise, a £10m impact fund which invested in UK energy-related social enterprises that deliver both commercial and social outcomes (mostly low carbon, social mobility and cleantech). In 2017, Ignite became part of the newly-launched Centrica Innovations.
