British Gas launches VIP service for Sallys…. (with the help of engineer ‘Noel’)

• A Noel Gallagher engineer lookalike has been spotted across the UK putting up ‘Sally Priority’ signs, as Sallys are promised priority service throughout the Oasis tour 
• Lucky Sallys also have the chance to win tickets to see the band in Scotland, with British Gas setting up a special ‘Sally Can’t Wait Fast Track Gate’ at the stadium
• The initiative is part of British Gas’s wider commitment for speedier support, with same-day engineer appointments for urgent callouts nationwide

As Oasis reunites for one of the biggest tours of the decade, British Gas is marking the moment with a nationwide celebration - honouring a legendary lyric, a famous former employee, and customers named Sally.

Before he was filling stadiums, Noel Gallagher was filling out job sheets - working as a British Gas subcontractor in the early '90s and writing hits like ‘Live Forever’ in the company’s storeroom. And now, in a full-circle twist, a Noel Gallagher lookalike engineer has been spotted putting up ‘Sally Can’t Wait’ signs outside homes across the UK - drawing attention to British Gas’s priority service for customers named Sally.  

Inspired by the lyric “Sally can wait” from the iconic Oasis tune, British Gas is offering VIP, same-day engineer support to Sallys nationwide throughout the Oasis tour. And that’s not all – Brits named ‘Sally’ now have the chance to get their hands on a pair of tickets to the Oasis show at Scottish Gas Murrayfield, as British Gas debuts a special ‘Sally Can’t Wait Fast Track Gate’ at the stadium. So, while the band belts out the classics, British Gas will be making sure that Sally really doesn’t have to wait this time.

And while the spotlight may be on Sally, the initiative reflects a bigger commitment from British Gas, who are providing a faster service for everyone this summer and in the coming winter. As part of this, same-day engineer appointments are available nationwide for urgent callouts so no one will be left waiting when it really counts.

A spokesperson for British Gas said: “Whether it’s a broken boiler or getting to the gig on time, we’re here when it matters most. This is a fun way to spotlight the fast, reliable service we offer - including same-day support for urgent issues - while giving a little love to the Sallys of the UK. And with Noel having once worked as a subcontractor himself, it felt only right to get him - or at least his British Gas engineer lookalike – involved.”

If anyone in the UK suffers a boiler breakdown and calls British Gas before 11am they will get an engineer appointment on the same day…. you don’t have to be an existing customer…..because let’s face it, Sally’s not the only one who can’t wait.
