Hive and Sync Energy partner for smarter, more cost-effective EV charging

Leading eco-tech company Hive has announced a new partnership with EV charging innovators Sync Energy, to bring intelligent, more cost-effective home charging solutions to UK drivers.

Starting today, the compact Wall Charger 2 will be available from the Hive Home website for £549 standalone, or £1,019 fully installed, and from 17th November customers can benefit from an additional Black Friday launch discount of £50.

This marks a significant step in Hive’s mission to simplify and enhance the EV ownership experience. Through integration with the Hive Home app, Sync Wall Charger 2 users can now access advanced scheduling features, smart tariffs and controls, seamlessly integrated with their other Hive and Works with Hive devices.

Customers who purchase Sync Energy EV chargers through Hive can also benefit from Hive’s new Power+ offering. When paired with a British Gas electric tariff – drivers will save 25% on their home charging costs.

For example, when paired with the EV Tariff, the cost of charging at home could be as little as 2p / mile. ZapMap say the current average for petrol and diesel vehicles is 14p / mile, showing significant savings available to EV drivers over time.
