In a first of its kind initiative, WSL Football’s official energy partner British Gas has introduced an exclusive new 1- year, fixed-energy tariff for members, players fans and supporters of the Barclays Women’s Super League and Barclays Women’s Super League 2.
The new energy tariff, which is guaranteed to be cheaper than the January Price cap1, is available exclusively to members who signup directly through this WSL Football link, either as a subscriber via email or through official WSL Football social media channels2.
"We’re proud to launch the WSL Football Tariff and be the first energy provider to take a partnership like this to the next level. This tariff reflects our ongoing commitment to energising women’s football, supporting communities and rewarding our customers.”
James Corcoran, Partnerships Director at British Gas
This offering, as a result of British Gas coming on board as the official energy partner of WSL Football, reinforces their commitment to supporting what happens both on and off the pitch.
British Gas already rewards its customers with thousands of free Barclays WSL and Barclays WSL2 tickets and experiences, as well as the opportunity for fans to enjoy half-price electricity when watching matches on Sundays, thanks to British Gas’ PeakSave scheme.
James Corcoran, Partnerships Director at British Gas comments on the latest advancement for the partnership: “We’re proud to launch the WSL Football Tariff and be the first energy provider to take a partnership like this to the next level. This tariff reflects our ongoing commitment to energising women’s football, supporting communities and rewarding our customers.”
Zarah Al-Kudcy, CRO, WSL Football said: “The WSL Football Tariff extends the impact of our partnership with British Gas beyond the pitch. Access to this exclusive offer will have real-term impact on the women’s football community, helping them save on their energy bills while continuing to champion the game”.

Notes to Editors
1 Savings against the January price cap is based on an average dual fuel customer on a single-rate tariff.
2 WSL Football Tariff is a 1-year fixed tariff. This tariff is exclusively available to WSL Football members, players, fans, and supporters. You’ll pay a daily standing charge and unit rates for each fuel on this tariff. We’ll also add VAT. If you have a multiple rate electricity meter, you may have more than one unit rate. The price of your contract won’t go up or down unless you change your tariff, change how you pay us (for example you stop paying by Direct Debit) or the government or regulator does or plans something that means the price has to change, for example changing the amount of VAT we must charge. We’ll contact you if there is a change to your price. When you switch to this tariff, the tariff details, such as your prices, any exit fees and when your contract starts and ends (the ‘contract end date’), will be sent by email or post and will be in your online account at www.britishgas.co.uk
