British Gas is offering an additional day of savings to celebrate reaching one million sign ups to its PeakSave scheme

British Gas is announcing that it is extending its popular PeakSave scheme this May Bank Holiday weekend to celebrate the 1 millionth household to sign up.
First launched in 2023, PeakSave has already helped customers save a combined total of nearly £25 million and 1606 tonnes of carbon emissions. It forms part of British Gas’ wider commitment to help households reduce energy bills and use energy more efficiently.
The scheme rewards customers for shifting electricity usage to times when demand is lower or when more renewable energy is available on the grid. Customers taking part in the PeakSave scheme have collectively shifted 28,619MWH so far.

British Gas PeakSave customers can rely on half-price every Sunday as well as bonus Green Flex events which offer 2 hours of half-price electricity when its windy or sunny and lots of renewable energy is available.
Whether hosting friends and family, or catching up on household tasks over the bank holiday weekend, participating customers can benefit from reduced electricity costs while also supporting a more sustainable energy system.
