Centrica plc is pleased to announce the appointment of Philippe Boisseau as a Non-Executive Director of the Company with effect from 1 September 2023, whereupon he will also become a member of the Company’s Safety, Environment and Sustainability Committee, Audit and Risk Committee and Nominations Committee.

Philippe will bring deep experience of the energy industry, particularly of energy assets, energy infrastructure and the renewable energy transition, that will be of great benefit to the Board.”

Philippe Boisseau is a former CEO who has operated internationally with extensive experience across renewable energy, electricity, energy trading and oil and gas. Philippe was CEO of CEPSA (Compañía Española de Petróleos SA), the Spanish multinational oil and gas, chemicals and renewable energy business, from 2019 to 2021. Prior to joining CEPSA, Philippe spent over 20 years at TotalEnergies SA, during which time he held President and Senior Executive roles across various business divisions and where he established Total's New Energies division which he led from 2007 to 2016.
Philippe has been senior advisor to Carlyle International Energy Partners (2017-2019) and a member of the board of I-Pulse Inc. (2017-2021). His current outside interests include senior advisor roles to OMERS Infrastructure, Ondra Partners and Sibanye-Stillwater Limited. Philippe is a graduate of the Ecole Polytechnique and holds an MSc in Theoretical Physics.
