PH Jones wins Liverpool Housing Trust contract

Liverpool Housing Trust has awarded its long-term housing repairs and maintenance contract to PH Jones, part of British Gas. The four year contract is worth up to £4m and covers 5,893 homes across Liverpool.

Liverpool Housing Trust, the provider of a wide range of homes in the social and affordable housing sector, has awarded its long-term housing repairs and maintenance contract to PH Jones, a heating repairs and installation provider specialising in the social housing sector.

PH Jones, which is part of British Gas, will provide a team of local service and maintenance engineers to complete a range of services for Liverpool Housing Trust tenants. Services will include annual gas safety checks, routine and emergency maintenance and replacements of tenant’s boilers and central heating systems.

The award follows a competitive tender process by the Trust earlier in 2015. Companies were assessed against their ability to deliver a high quality tailored service, value for money and a positive impact in the community.

The contract builds on PH Jones’s relationship with the Trust’s parent organisation Symphony Housing Group, having already provided repairs and maintenance support to 9,500 homes in Greater Manchester for the past five years.

Peter Black, Managing Director of PH Jones, said: “We are extremely proud to win this contract with Liverpool Housing Trust, which builds on our relationship with Symphony Housing Group. Great customer service and helping to keep homes warm and safe is at the heart of our business and we will strive to improve and enhance our service throughout the contract.”

Simon Brown, Director Asset Management (Liverpool Housing Trust), said: "We understand the importance of delivering the best service we can to our customers. We are delighted we have been able to introduce a number of service improvements and we look forward to working with our new contractors to ensure customers feel and experience the difference in the service.”
