Bord Gáis Energy has launched a full marketing campaign for Hive Active Heating ™ in the Republic of Ireland. The campaign includes TV, radio, digital and outdoor communications created within the Bord Gáis Energy brand, with the tagline ‘If it helps it’s Bord Gáis Energy’.
Hive Active Heating’s award-winning technology presents the 1.4 million homes using gas central heating in Ireland with the opportunity to control their heating and hot water from their mobile phone or tablet.
Hive is available in Ireland through the Bord Gáis Energy contact centre and the offer includes professional installation by their Service Engineers. You don't need to be a Bord Gáis Energy customer to benefit from Hive Active Heating™ becausethe technology works with the customers’ existing heating system.
Following Hive’s launch in the UK, more than 200,000 households are using the multi-award winning product and 60% say they used Hive at least once a day last winter.

In July this year, Centrica announced a global investment in innovation through its Connected Homes business of £500m over five years to build on the success of British Gas’ connected homes business unit, honeycomb platform, and Hive products.
