Centrica appoints non-executive director

Centrica plc is pleased to announce that Steve Pusey is to be appointed a Non-Executive Director of the Company, effective from 1 April 2015.

Centrica plc is pleased to announce that Steve Pusey is to be appointed a Non-Executive Director of the Company, effective from 1 April 2015. Steve will become a member of Centrica's Audit, Nominations and Remuneration Committees.

Steve has gained a wealth of international experience as a senior customer facing business technology leader with considerable experience in the telecommunications industry in both the wireline and wireless sectors and in business applications and solutions. Steve is currently the Chief Technology Officer of Vodafone, having joined the company in 2006 and he is responsible for defining and leading their global technology strategy. He has informed them of his intention to retire on 31 July 2015. Steve also worked with Nortel and British Telecom and is a graduate of the Advanced Management Program at Harvard University.

There is no information required to be disclosed under Listing Rule 9.6.13R in respect of Steven Pusey’s appointment.

Steve Pusey is a senior customer product-facing business technology leader. He joined Vodafone in 2006 as Global Chief Technology Officer and was instrumental in the expansion of Vodafone 3G and 4G services. Steve Pusey also worked on the global IT, procurement and cyber-security agendas at Vodafone and most recently was involved in a global investment programme and the global convergence strategy.

Before joining Vodafone, Steve Pusey held the positions of Executive Vice President and president, Nortel EMEA, having joined Nortel in 1982. Prior to Nortel, Steve Pusey was with British Telecom.
