Centrica plc today announced that its subsidiary British Gas Trading Limited has reached agreement with Statoil ASA (Statoil) for an additional one-year supply contract to deliver 1 billion cubic metres of gas commencing 1 October 2004.
The contract, signed today, will build on Centrica's relationship with Statoil as it looks to source gas for its customer base in the years ahead. This follows a 10-year gas supply agreement with Statoil announced in June 2002, which will commence 1 October 2005.
