Centrica is disappointed by the outcome of the court case regarding HFC's dispute with Centrica in respect of the Goldfish Credit Card. We have received advice from leading counsel that Centrica has good grounds for appealing today’s decision. We will therefore seek leave to appeal from the Court of Appeal at the earliest opportunity.
The ownership of the Goldfish Brand is not in dispute. Centrica will continue to own the rights in the Goldfish Brand whatever the outcome.
We will evaluate the options as to how to take our Goldfish strategy forward in the intervening period
