Fabric Maintenance Lead
The primary purpose of the Fabric Maintenance Lead is to set the company Fabric Maintenance (FM) strategy and ensure the overall planning, execution, organisation, leadership and control of FM contracts deliver cost effective fabric maintenance across the asset appropriate for the remaining asset life cycle.
You will work closely with the asset Integrity team to ensure scope is agreed and prioritised, and is accountable for ensuring FM budgets, cost control and managing the FM contract. Functionally reporting to the Operations Support Manager you are responsible for the safe execution of agreed scope to cost and schedule.
You will define, manage and control the fabric maintenance budget ensuring fabric maintenance programmes are included in annual and long range plan, and are fully supported by appropriate budget and resource requirements.
To ensure safe, timely and cost effective implementation of fabric maintenance programmes is key as is managing the FM contract and ensuring appropriate performance Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s), are in place and measured.
The Fabric Maintenance Lead will make sure all relevant procedures and specifications to manage fabric maintenance are in place and adhered to and ensure continuous review and improvement of fabric maintenance processes, procedures, standards, specifications and work practices e.g. coating, PFP and insulation specifications appropriate for asset remaining life; defined life repairs, tertiary equipment strategies etc.
You will work with the Asset Integrity Engineers to develop the asset FM programme and ensure work is scheduled within the maintenance management system and ensure sufficient inspection resources are in place to support fabric maintenance.
Working with contractors to ensure safe and effective implementation of all fabric maintenance workscopes and developing and implementing a fabric maintenance strategy to maintain assets in a safe and reliable condition is at the core of the role.
You will be educated to degree level and/or experience and equivalent e.g. HND/HNC plus relevant vocational certificates, hold NACE coating inspector Level 3 and an Institute of Corrosion fireproofing and insulation certificate.
You will have operational knowledge of the upstream or other high hazard industry, and experience of managing fabric maintenance programmes on aging assets with significant experience, within asset integrity and fabric maintenance; Surface preparation of live equipment, coatings, insulation, PFP systems, tertiary equipment. Operator experience in managing fabric maintenance contracts and current offshore survival, medical and MIST is required.
