  • Extensive experience working as a head of programs / head of change / program director or in a similar consultant role
  • Ability to communicate and gain agreement for concepts and ideas that are in the company interest, but not necessarily in individuals best interests
  • Working experience of Evo Programme Management preferred
  • Experience working with a globally distributed organization is preferred
  • Ability to adapt leadership style, depending on environment in order to achieve company objectives
  • Able to build solid working relationships with peers and senior leadership
  • Ability to demonstrate strong written, verbal communication and presentation skills to all levels of seniority and disciplines within the organization
  • Support decision making and creating right environment for success
  • Drive programmes and initiatives to support CH objectives

An opportunity, in a leadership role to drive the company forwards and to win in the exciting “Internet of Things” industry. This is a role for a dynamic individual who possesses the ability to facilitate the creation of a joint Connected Home and Direct Energy roadmap and will be the key "client" interface point with Hive's North America (NA) Channel Director. The successful candidate will partner with the channels team to construct and execute a plan which will amplify our first major NA partnership with our sister company, Direct Energy. This growth program will bridge the gap between the North American Home Business and Connected Home Business, facilitating growth in key joint ventures with the goal of strengthening the partnership and growing both lines of business.

  • Create and maintain the linkage between CH strategy, Objectives, Roadmaps and programs
  • Ensure the roadmap is dynamic and visible for all stakeholders, accepting full ownership for delivery
  • Create and maintain a programme management way of working that fosters idea generation, with outcomes that can be measured for their value to the Business
  • Challenge product and technology teams to demonstrate benefit realisation across CH, DE and Centrica
  • Provide information in a format that enables swift decision making and pursing decisions to be made where required.
  • Generate excitement and followership for the roadmap from internal and external stakeholders
  • Work across company to identify efficiency improvements (process / ways of working)
  • Establish / maintain appropriate levels of governance that suit the stakeholders whilst sustaining and environment of creativity and devolved ownership
  • Ensure DE and CH-NA adopt a dynamic and action oriented approach to risk
  • $50 million roadmap with accountability for forecasts & management to agreed targets
  • Direct reports – Project Managers and Programme Office personnel
  • Negotiation, discussion and positive challenge to Senior Leadership Team
  • Ability to interface across the Connected Home and wider Centrica Global business
  • Reports to the Operating Officer
  • Working across CH, DE and Centrica to ensure teams are aligned
  • Champion CH projects through change plan; Approval Gates; Investment Committee - resolving escalations as appropriate
  • Working across Connected Home/Direct Energy / Centrica to ensure alignment of initiatives with various forums / business units
