Overview

The Head of Operations will be responsible for leading, directing and owning all operational activity across the Smart Installations and Metering function, managing the financial performance of a region with costs of £50m per annum. You will lead, inspire and develop a team of leaders that are driven to achieve financial, efficiency, operational, customer, people and safety targets and deliver consistent best practice initiatives in line with legal and regulatory constraints, whilst also ensuring the delivery of industry leading customer service. You will be accountable for leading a customer focused culture to ensure that we have the infrastructure and resources in place to be able to undertake over 85 million customer visits per year.

Location: 1x South UK,1x Central

UK Salary: Competitive + £7,800 car allowance, bonus & benefits

The Role

  • Develop the Smart Installation and Metering strategy and devise the operations strategy, ensuring strong liaison between UK Field Operations and UK Customer Operations in pursuit of efficient and effective service delivery for our customers.
  • Lead a customer focused culture and a right time first approach throughout.
  • Manage the Employee Relations landscape; building and managing a strong relationship with the Trade Union.
  • Ensure current and future capability of the Area team- proactively managing performance and providing ongoing coaching, feedback and support.

The Person

You will be an excellent communicator, with the ability to build strong relationships and be a confident negotiator at both front line and strategic level.

You will have experience of managing a workforce of c1000+ across a remote, Field based landscape and working in a highly unionised workforce.

A track record of leading, driving and delivering a step change in performance within an organisation and leading high performing, engaged, cross-functional teams and third party suppliers.
