Centrica’s international Distributed Energy & Power (DE&P) brings together expertise from our UK and US businesses and works to deliver distributed energy solutions to businesses. We provide construction services to deliver projects across the UK for industrial and commercial customers wishing to reduce energy consumption and/or generate energy. As we grow, recruiting the right people is essential and we currently have an opportunity for a Settlements Team Manager.

Playing a pivotal role in the Settlements Function, the Settlements Team Manager will have two main areas of focus; Team Management and creating MI/analysing financial spend using both automated and bespoke reporting. You will also be required to support a wider team of Commercial Contract Managers and Analysts.

The Role

The Team Manager aspect of the role involves managing a team of up to 6 PO and commercial admin analysts. Your team will be across various locations therefore effective, remote management skills are essential. You will be required to spend 2 days a week in our Southampton office and there will be travel to our Salford office as and when required.

Alongside your management duties is the MI and analytical tasks you will be accountable for. We are looking for extensive experience in building MI reports to capture the following (but not limited to) PO spend/stock and inventory/tracking Project/Contract payment milestones. You will need to work closely with other areas of the business, including Commercial Contract Managers and the newly established Billing Team to ensure compliance and governance are met at all times.

The Person

To be successful you will need to be highly analytical and confident with numerical data, be highly competent in Microsoft Office and an expert user of SAP. A familiarity of Microsoft Dynamics is also desirable. Strong communication skills that enable you to positively manage key stakeholders and effectively network are key in this role. Finally, you will thrive on working under pressure, managing competing deadline and project/contract milestones.

The successful candidate will need to spend the first 2 weeks of their employment in our Southampton office, there will then be a requirement to work 2 days a week from Southampton and travel to Salford as and when required.
