The Planning and Performance Manager for North America (NA) Procurement will primarily be responsible for DE procurement strategy, planning, and performance  management.   The role will plan and formalize NA’s procurement strategy and approach to delivering strategic and transformative initiatives across NA.  This role will enable the NA Procurement Partner to make critical decisions  about strategic projects and ensure the overall NA procurement portfolio and teams are set up for success.

 

The role will drive the strategy to enable the NA procurement agenda, serve as the bridge between strategy and execution, and develop strong partnership and communication between Procurement and Business/Functional partners both in NA and globally.

Responsibilities

1)      Strategy development and planning

  • Manage strategies and key levers to improve 2nd/3rd party spend across NA
  • Develop and plan initiatives across NA procurement
  • Provide analysis and partner with other teams to conduct deep dives on opportunities
  • Facilitate decision making around procurement project prioritization and sequencing, as required
    • Coordinate and communicate activities across NA Procurement  leadership
    • Provide guidance for policy and process changes
    • Develop and maintain stakeholder relationship strategy for NA Procurement
    • Develop content for stakeholder and internal communications
    • Maintain NA procurement resource view, and provide insights into leadership to identify resource constraints and broader organizational pain points
    • Develop content and updates to senior management as required
    • Support  sourcing support materials (e.g. analysis, sourcing strategies,  RFP and negotiation materials)
      • Support  supplier communications materials
      • Coordinate reporting with TMO, Centrica, AP, real estate
      • Coordinate MBRs, QPRs, etc. for NA
      •  

        2) Performance Management

        • Maintain a running view of all active procurement efforts across NA and manage opportunity pipeline
        • Provide financial analysis and tracking of NA procurement portfolio
        • Partner with Finance and Transformation Management Office (PMO) to plan and track benefits
        • Ensure compliance and internal controls across NA Procurement
        • Work with Procurement teams to develop executive level milestone and metrics for projects
        • Setup executive level milestone plans to enable accurate and consistent reporting
        • Develop  reporting and dashboards for updates to senior management
