What we would like you to do:
This role will involve you providing detailed analysis which exhaustively tests an agreed hypothesis based on Industry change proposals ahead of implementation. This investigation will focus on the economic and settlement impacts or benefits of the planned change. To allow the Energy Economics Lead to complete proposals both internally within the Organisation and externally to our regulators.
You will have a good understanding of the UK Energy Markets and experience in data mining using SAS/SQL. Due to the challenging nature of the information, you should be comfortable interpreting complex data sets and testing hypotheses. As you will work closely with colleagues across various teams within British Gas you will have exceptional stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate your findings, ideas and proposals effectively.
