Job Description

The Product Manager, Protection Plans and Partnerships will be responsible for overall performance of Direct Energy protection plans and will direct partnership strategy for all annuities product lines.

Requirements

  • University degree with an MBA or professional accreditation preferred
  • Experience in business development, product management, and project management
  • Highly developed financial management and analytical skills
  • Strong leadership and influencing skills and ability to clearly communicate product vision
  • High degree of intrinsic motivation and drive for results

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute protection plan growth strategy
  • Define protection plan go to market approaches; optimize channel performance and product portfolio
  • Understand customer lifetime value, including not only inherent protection plan value but also value delivered to other lines of business; take an enterprise first approach in maximizing customer value for NA Home
  • Manage the protection plan product life cycle including product launches, price changes, and overall margin optimization
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing to optimize acquisition spend and ensure cost to acquire (CTA) transparency
  • Collaborate with the annuities retention manager to minimize customer churn and optimize cost to retain (CTR)
  • Engage operations and customer experience teams to understand and improve customer experience
  • Ensure compliance with relevant policies, procedures, and legal requirements
  • Lead team responsible for maintaining relationships with franchisees and retail locations
  • Track and respond to competitive environment
  • Develop partnership strategy for both protection plans and home warranties in conjunction with the Product Manager, Home Warranties
  • Lead delivery of partnership strategy in collaboration with the Partnership team within NA Home Sales
