The Manager, Gas Billing will be responsible for the complete, accurate, and timely billing of products and services for NAB’s natural gas customers using multiple internal and utility partner billing platforms. The Manager oversees natural gas billing operations for all market segments and channels across all geographic regions.

Requirements

  • BA or BS degree 
  • Seven (7) years’ of operations and/or commercial experience with a demonstrated track record of achieving and exceeding operational KPIs and managing through change 
  • Three to five (3 to 5) year experience managing/leading 
  • Up to 25% travel 
  • Strong commercial and business acumen with collaborative approach to work with sales and commercial team 
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills the ability to interact successfully at all level within the organization; comfortable working through influence rather than command and control 
  • Flexibility and adaptability; high capacity to work with cross functional teams and other functional areas within Centrica 
  • Focused, bottom-line and performance driven personality 

Responsibilities

  • Lead team responsible for completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of all billing calculations, bill rendering, and bill delivery for all natural gas customers 
  • Deliver first-in class customer experience for both our new and renewing customers 
  • Coordinate, monitor, and review daily billings, unbilled sales, billing errors/rejects, unbilled usage, estimated and manual billings, and gas settlement adjustment calculations 
  • Responsible for ensuring all billing data maintenance and accuracy and all upstream data sources are accurate and timely; responsible for measuring supplier performance and the financial reporting of impact incidents 
  • Responsible for maintaining timely and reliable Gas Billing operation as measured by Key Performance Indicators and customer Net Promoter Scores and Loyalty indicators 
  • Partner with Customer Experience and Onboarding teams, Gas Operations and Utility companies to ensure seamless billing experience for customers and reducing customer issues
  • Design and develop operational procedures to support customized billing solutions for large and complex customers 
  • Provide NAB Customer Operations Leadership team updates and insights regarding gas billing activity and unbooked revenue to ensure accurate financial reporting 
  • Mange and drive the resolution of system incidents to minimize the impact to revenue generation activity and cash flow for the NAB book of business 
  • Responsible for identifying and implementing processes improvements to enhance the customer experience, create operational efficiencies, and support NAB objectives and strategic growth initiatives 
  • Participate in the identification, design, and testing of system enhancements 
  • Participate in the testing of controls for internal and external audit reviews 
  • Promote customer first culture, teamwork, creative problem solving, and timely issue resolution 
  • Contribute to the professional and personal development of team members
