Job Description

Distributed Energy is a global business unit within Centrica, set with the mission to help
customers discover and unlock value via the energy-consuming and energy-producing
assets they have on their own sites. In North America, we have existing and forthcoming
solutions that we want to offer to customers within the commercial, industrial, and
institutional sectors.

The Delivery team, in which this role resides, is responsible for supporting proposals,
performing services and executing projects through unparalleled HSES, Engineering and
Project Management delivering services and projects while exceeding our customer’s

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Project Suite including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook, experience with Microsoft Project
  • Experience working with cloud software systems, multiple utilities and functions
  • Knowledge of or ability to learn LAN/WAN topologies, cabling standards and other communication technologies related to installation work
  • Ability to grasp new concepts and topics quickly
  • Highly motivated, hardworking, self-starter with ability to work independently supporting customers and partners globally
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, managers, and subject matter experts
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and technical aptitude
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills
  • Team player
  • Excellent technical report writing skills preferred
  • Ability to inspect or monitor energy systems, including lighting, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems to determine energy use and potential savings a plus


Bachelors degree preferred in Engineering (Electrical or Mechanical).  2-5 years of work experience with demonstrated history.


DGCP all a plus.  

  • Work is predominately office based and some field base work, candidate must be physically able to visit customer and construction sites
  • Candidate must have a valid Driver’s License



  • Manage external and internal support cases utilizing dedicated systems and solutions
  • Provides answers to customers and partners by identifying problems,researching answers, and guiding customers and partners through corrective steps
  • Provide remote deployment support
  • Provide occasional training to customers and partners
  • Participates in development of customer training programs by identifying learning issues
  • Support inventory management and occasional order fulfilment and shipping
  • Manage RMA process and hardware replacement
  • Improve system performance by identifying problems and recommending changes
  • Support creation of project scope, budgets and schedules
  • Provide related support reporting to management teams
  • Provides timely, accurate and unambiguous updates
  • Represent Direct Energy in a business-like and professional manner
  • Work with personnel and outside contacts to satisfy customer needs and achieve company goals
  • Identify areas of improvement in the company and assist in creating and implementing solutions
