Work with Direct Energy Solar’s purchasing and inventory systems including getting price quotes, preparing and placing purchase orders with suppliers, and coordinating the tracking of orders to ensure that they are received on time and to the correct location.
 
 

Requirements

 Bachelor’s degree.
 Minimum 3-5 years experience in purchasing and procurement field. Must have knowledge of general purchasing techniques and MRP processes
 Must have a high attention to detail, and the ability to understand complex reports, purchase orders, and invoices.
 Must have strong computer skills in Excel and Word.
Experience with Salesforce and MRP software preferred.
 Must be a team player with strong time management and communication skills (written and verbal).
 Detail oriented and able to prioritize and perform a variety of tasks with varying levels of responsibilities while meeting deadlines.
 Flexibility to work in a constantly growing and changing industry.

Responsibilities

 Work with vendors to obtain quotes for projects and submit purchase orders within budget and schedule.
 Maintain positive working relationships with current and potential suppliers through good communication and record keeping
 Place, schedule, and follow-up on vendor orders to ensure accuracy and timely delivery; resolve issues if orders are late.
 Maintain accurate purchasing documents and vendor records.
 Compile data from a various sources for the purpose of analyzing usage and order history to provide recommendations for potential ordering changes.
 Stay up to date and knowledgeable on industry and product changes, potential current or future problems that may affect our supply chain and be able to provide suggestions to avoid them.
 Work closely with the Solar Engineers to research and purchase specialized components for custom Residential and Commercial Solar installs.
 Work with satellite offices to ensure orders are received without issue and entered properly into the system in a timely manner; resolving any problems that may arise.
 Work with the Accounting Department to ensure accuracy with invoices and payments to vendors.
 Make recommendations to improve the purchasing processes and procedures.
 Document purchasing processes and procedures.
 Work closely with the Inventory team, cross train, and provide back up as necessary.
 All other duties as assigned.
