This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive, upbeat individual that has passion for what they do and is interested in joining a dynamic, engaged team.  The role provides critical administrative support for the Vice President, CFO Direct Energy Home. The successful incumbent will routinely and effectively communicate and interface with all levels of the organization from staff to executive leadership including leaders within our parent company, Centrica, based in the UK. The ideal candidate will be dynamic and energetic with a demonstrated ability to work with little oversight/direction while handling and maintaining confidential information and exercising discretion/discernment in handling related business matters at all times. This role requires a high degree of initiative, professionalism, organization and stellar communication skills.



  • 5+ years’ experience providing administrative support to executive level leader(s)
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field a plus
  • Ability to work autonomously without extensive oversight or direction
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) including preparing spreadsheets and formatting reporting documentation
  • Demonstrated advanced written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to remain agile and adaptive while maintaining optimal performance and delivery within a fast paced dynamic environment with competing priorities
  • Experience planning large and small events
  • Demonstrated interpersonal savvy
  • Engaged, proactive personality
  • Unquestioned ability to act with discretion and maintain confidentiality


  • Arrange, plan and coordinate meetings and/or conference calls across multiple locations and time zones including international scheduling
  • Coordinate and book travel arrangements, plan itineraries and related payment(s)
  • Process expense reports, including obtaining required approval and ensuring timely payment according to policy
  • Effectively manage and maintain inbox and other electronic materials and scheduling for the VP Finance while anticipating needs and demonstrating ability to manage and balance priorities accordingly
  • Coordinate large group offsite meetings including meeting space, hotels, meals, transportation and all associated meeting logistics
  • Participate in team meetings ensuring that all required information is completed and delivered in advance as well as actively manage action items
  • Prepare and proof internal and external correspondence on behalf of the VP Finance 
    • Prepare materials for presentations using Microsoft Office and other related tools
    • Manage procurement activities for the Finance department
    • Manage seating arrangements and coordinate all moves with the facilities department
    • Maintain department organization charts
    • Manage on-boarding of new employees
    • Participate on the team’s engagement committee owning event planning, organization, and set-up
    • Work with VP to actively manage the strategic people agenda
    • Provide support to Finance team members including travel planning, expense reporting and meeting planning as needed
    • Communicate with various internal departments to coordinate projects and/or activities and liaise with external parties in administrative matters on behalf of the leadership team
    • Anticipate and execute on various duties as required to effectively support the VP Finance
    • Other duties as assigned
