Job Description

The Credit & Debt Exception Specialist is a key member of the DER – Credit and Debt Management team focused on system analysis, process based on regulatory/governmental applicable rule and is responsible for supporting projects that facilitate any type of change, including system, application, process enhancements and successfully action and clear market exceptions as it relates to credit & debt operations. A successful candidate should have strong investigative understanding and an ability to identify behavior where applicable and navigate and execute query and other interaction within multiple customer information systems. Research, evaluate, and analyze information gathered from multiple sources to investigate and document in detail and take appropriate applicable action on specific accounts as prescribed by the process.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years relevant job experience
  • Must have bilingual experience with both English and Spanish
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (i.e. Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint,)
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills, including coaching, facilitating and presentation skills
  • Strong analytical and basic project methodology skills required
  • Ability to translate technical issues in a non-technical manner with Business Stakeholders and Operations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, Including executives, managers, and subject matter experts
  • Interaction with cross-functional groups including Sales, Market Management, Finance and Regulatory 
  • Ability to successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously
  • Respectable knowledge of deregulated electricity markets would be considered an asset       
  • Sound leadership qualities
  • Preferred proficient knowledge of Peace 8.08, EC-Power, Ercot, Market Solutions, Power Up, Bounce and Discovery
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Prioritize and effectively manage daily tasks and time sensitive information

Responsibilities

  • Research, evaluate, and analyze information gathered from multiple sources to document  in detail business requirements and recommend solutions for system issues
  • Communicate effectively with business and operational users
  • Support the creation of desktop procedures / job aides, and training materials
  • Explore and lead opportunities for process improvement
  • Ability to perform user acceptance testing (UAT)
  • Support Business and Operations participation and cooperation during systems deployment projects
  • Ability to procure and organize reports daily as it relates to forecasting and daily stats
  • Ability to meet daily SLA’s as it relates to business needs
