Job Description

DE Business is the largest commercial and industrial retailer in North America based on customer numbers. It provides natural gas and electricity sales to small, medium and large-size businesses, public institutions, and government.

The Regional Manager, Strategic Sales Origination will be tasked with growing the overall size and scope of the current Strategic Services portfolio by participating in the development of the Total Energy Management (TEM) commodity and non-commodity strategy and, in tandem with Sales and the Director of Strategic Sales Origination, implement the execution of the same across designated region.

Requirements

  • 5-10 years related industry experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, economics, or mathematics required
  • Certified Energy Procurement (CEP) Professional or Certified Energy Manager (CEM) designation preferred
  • Strong understanding of both commodity and non-commodity based energy products
  • Proficient with computer spreadsheet and database applications
  • Proficient with Microsoft PowerPoint and presentation capabilities
  • Ability to develop and implement highly effective market and business strategies
  • Excellent quantitative, oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated capabilities of persuasion and effectiveness at explaining rationale for recommendations and decisions made
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Strong organizational abilities, attention to detail and deadline orientation
  • Commitment to work with a sense of urgency
  • Work as a team player and communicate well
  • Be proactive and creative in solving problems

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of Origination professionals responsible for the facilitation of Strategic Services cross-sell and origination activities across Direct Energy Business
  • Implement pre-sales strategy for bundled product offerings (i.e. TEM) and maintain across designated region
  • Present internally and externally on Total Energy Management and bundled offerings
  • Work in conjunction with Regional Managers to streamline messaging and share best practices as designated by the team and Director of Strategic Sales Origination
  • Work in conjunction with NADE to roll out go to market strategy for NADE products and services across NAB footprint.
  • Coordination and ongoing relationship maintenance with internal teams and external/vendors
  • Work with Commercial Analytics team to enhance and adjust analytical tools aimed at detailing market movements to increase managed product penetration
