Job Description

Direct Energy is seeking a Inside Sales Representative to work within our Franchise team. This position is home based and and can be located any where in the United States.
 
 
This position will be focusing on contacting owners/decision makers of independent home services businesses. Sets virtual and in-person sales appointments for Franchise Development Managers who seek to gain commitments from decision makers to attend a company sponsored seminar or Discovery Day.
 
 
 
Essential Functions:
  • Makes outbound calls to prospects from leads provided via direct mail campaigns, trade publications, websites and other media.
  • Identifies Decision Makers at prospect companies.
  • Creates urgency and builds rapport with Decision Makers.
  • Qualifies Prospects for attendance at Seminars or Discovery Days by gathering information about the Prospect.
  • Makes decisions on Prospects as to whether they qualify to attend the Seminars and Discovery Days.
  • Mails/e-mails information regarding registration and travel to Prospects who plan to attend a session.
  • Coordinates the effective transition of Prospect relationships to assigned Franchise Development Managers.
  • Initiates and maintains clear database information for each Prospect contacted.

Requirements

• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills required
• Ability to quickly establish and maintain rapport/trust with Prospects by phone and email
• Previous experience in a high volume sales environment
• Business to business outbound sales experience preferred
• Previous experience using a sales tracking system CRM
• Computer literate with Microsoft Office products
• Must be capable of sitting or standing for extended periods of time and lifting up to 40 pounds
