IS2017 Information Systems (IS) Graduate Programme
Information Systems are looking towards the technology of the future and we need you to join us on this journey
As one of the leading Utility companies in the UK we are leading the competition in our Information Systems projects within areas such as Smart technologies and especially around the newer technologies such as Hadoop, Big Data, Digital and many other core development modules. The people we are looking for to join us as the first step of their career are those who are passionate about all things in technology.
Our experts here developed the Smart Meters that allow our customers to see energy use in real time; Hive, which lets them control their central heating from a smartphone; and innovations that mean they can pay their bill from a mobile phone. They’ve improved the way SAP works for our business and have even revolutionised the technology we use in our call centres to deliver a faster, more effective service to every single British Gas residential customer.
The IS Graduate Programme spans two years and will comprise of three 8 month placements within a core specialism that will give you a chance to gain hands on experience in many specialist technologies and working in areas such as:
• IT Architecture
• IT Security
• Core Systems Development (SAP, Hadoop, Java etc)
• Business Analysis
The programme enables you to build key IS skills and experience within your chosen specialism and will give you a great foundation to a successful career in IS. You will be given responsibility from day one in roles that have been designed to stretch and challenge you whilst providing the support and development you need.
