PRSC2017 Procurement & Supply Chain Graduate Programme

Job Description

Driving Value through our 3rd Party Relationships

Procurement has been a changing profession in the last few years. Our approach has moved from one which was seen as being solely cost focussed to one in which we look at a whole number of value drivers and understands the impact that suppliers can have on our cost base but also on our performance and reputation.
Our approach to graduate recruitment has changed too. We offer a scheme which enables successful candidates to access all aspects of our organisation and understand the energy supply chain through the retailing of energy to businesses and customers. We want our graduates to gain a deep understanding of the different drivers and targets within these businesses and to help build the supply chain strategies to take these businesses forward.
There is more to focus on than cost too. Today we are also responsible for protecting the company’s reputation and ensuring that our supply chains are ethically sourced and that our suppliers hold the same high standards that we do. We also look at how our supply relationships can bring new value to our business through better quality, innovation or new products and services.
We are open to applications from all disciplines, looking for people with strong commercial acumen, an inquisitive nature and great engagement skills. From our side we will provide leading professional training and in-role development to help grow these skills further.
Our aim is to provide the skills to forge a successful career in Procurement or in the wider business. We will ensure you get enough experience and exposure to make the choice that is right for you.
