WHAT DOES IT INVOLVE?

The Centrica Finance function works across all our business units to provide performance analysis, critical insight and decision support. As a graduate, you’ll be placed right at the heart of this work, progressing through a series of challenging placements to become a well-rounded finance professional in your own right.

The programme exposes you to a range of financial disciplines and business areas. Your placements could potentially include roles in Finance Operations, Finance Partnering or more specialist Corporate Centre teams such as Investor Relations, Tax and Mergers & Acquisitions.

Professional qualification

During your time on the programme, we will help you to complete a full accounting qualification by providing you with training, course funding and flexible study leave. By the end of the scheme, you will have gained one of the following qualifications:

  • ICAEW (ACA)

  • ACCA

  • CIMA

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

Responsibility comes fast here. To handle it successfully, you need a keen analytical mind and outstanding people skills as well as the flexibility to perform in a fast-paced environment. Integrity and passion are also important, and you must be able to communicate complex ideas.

The Centrica finance scheme offers fantastic finance training in an interesting and changing industry. I’ve been able to build my financial knowledge through a variety of placements; from roles in technical accounting, planning and now in Investor Relations, as well as training for the ACA accounting qualification.
