The two-year Analyst Programme equips graduates with the expertise to assess and mitigate major risks.
Duration: 2 years
Starting salary: £27,000 plus £3,000 starting bonus
Minimum requirements: 2:1 degree or Master's (with 2:2 degree minimum) in a numerical subject
The aim of the Analyst Programme is develop graduates who can provide our business with industry-leading analysis. This analysis is fundamental to ensuring that our price is right, that we hedge our commodities, that we deliver improvements in critical areas and that we are profitable.
Your role will be to provide first-class analysis and insight, enabling long-term forecasting of energy requirements, and risk management and mitigation for our businesses and customers. Our current graduates have been involved in everything from improving our understanding of market behaviours and economics, to producing financial and market assessments, to assessing the commercial viability of government legislation regarding carbon reduction.
It's a complex area of our business – and the degree of change planned for the future means that this will increase over time. This is why we need graduates who can make a significant, business-changing contribution to energy analytics.
You will need to develop not just your analytic skills, but your commercial mindset and ability to manage internal and external relationships. We will give all the tools you need to progress but it will be up to you to make the most of them. As well as a personal coach and senior mentor, you'll have every opportunity to develop across placements and take professional qualifications.
I love that I have been given the opportunity to develop both strong technical skills and general management skills, which makes you extremely valuable to the company.
