Our four-year accredited Engineer Programme gives graduates all the nuts and bolts they need to become a well-rounded engineer.

Programme information

Duration: 4 years

Locations: UK-wide

Starting salary: £32,000 plus £3,000 starting bonus

Minimum requirements: A 2.1 Master's degree in a relevant engineering discipline (mechanical, chemical, electrical or C&I); full UK driving licence (to reach remote locations)

Our accredited Engineer Programme will support and guide you towards Chartered status and help you plan for your first permanent role within Centrica.

On the four year programme, you will rotate around the business:

In Power Generation, you will gain exposure to a large and varied production portfolio, ranging from gas-fired power stations to wind farms. Within Centrica Energy Upstream you will be part of a team making exciting strides within exploration and production. During your time at Centrica Storage, you will gain unique insights into a high-profile and strategically important gas storage environment.

A carefully-structured development programme will give you the opportunity to achieve your full potential.

As part of a diverse multi-disciplined team responsible for supplying millions of customers, delivering innovation solutions quickly and reliably under pressure becomes second nature. Most of all, you will be encouraged to hammer away at new skills and constantly build on your knowledge on this fascinating, stretching and rewarding scheme.
