Clockwork deal significantly increases Direct Energy's footprint

Direct Energy recently obtained regulatory and shareholder approval and finalized the deal to purchase Florida-based Clockwork Home Services. With the acquisition, Direct Energy's geographic footprint and customer count have significantly increased. DE now serves 6 million customer relationships (up from 5 million) and operates across the majority of North America, totalling 46 US states plus the District of Columbia and 10 Canadian provinces. The combined population in DE's footprint is an astounding 334 million people.
Below is a map of where Direct Energy operates.

As you can tell, we cover most of North America. Considering Centrica's only operated in North America for 10 years, the map illustrates the company's history of impressive growth.
Direct Energy, more specifically Direct Energy Services is now the largest provider of home services in the United States and Canada, which improves our capacity to meet customer demand in the $35 billion home services marketplace. The procurement scale of the acquisition allows us to leverage our relationship with suppliers and drive savings for customers. Our substantial footprint increases our value proposition for new and existing customers, especially in states/provinces where we already offer a competitive residential commodity product. The Clockwork acquisition is an important step towards achieving our goal of doubling Direct Energy's size in the next three to five years.
Best,
Joel Dykstra
